Finished my dragon bust. Not so much a conceptual piece, but focused on the technical structure.
The dragon was made from a solid block of clay, and clay was added on loosely for scales and spikes.
The clay was then carved back for the scales, to add a raised but defined texture.
After the details were finished, the dragon was then cut in half, hollowed out, and reattached before it's first firing in the kiln.
The glaze is a copper oxide, with clear glaze added for the eyes and main horns.
